Nobody knows everything. There's only so much we can learn from our own experiences and there's only so many books we can possibly read. That's why we learn from each other. From our teachers, from our co-workers and family and friends. But also from people we hardly know.
Some months ago I was riding the bus to get some groceries. This eccentric, old Asian man boarded our vehicle and sat in the seat in front of me and started mumbling. Then, on the other side of the bus, a young couple embraced. The man then looked up, smiled, nodded and mumbled "now that there is the meaning of life." It's hard to argue with him.
So I just learned the meaning of life. It wasn't from a deity. It wasn't from a book or even from the internet! It was from some random guy on the bus :)
